Trail Cameras in our 14 acre preserve
These are a selection of videos from the motion activated trail cameras we have throughout our nature preserve. This is a private preserve with walking trails winding through old growth forest that is pulsating with life as you can see in these videos. While we see a lot more wildlife on the trail cameras than in person, the cameras show us the health of the thriving eco-system we are privileged to live within. Some of the animal we have observed in the Nature Preserve include:
Pizotes, raccoons, skunks, white faced monkeys, squirrel monkeys, kinkajou, peccary, curacao, ocelot, pumas, tolomuco, anteaters, scarlet macaws, 2 types of toucans, green parrots, parakeets, hawks, owls, deer, greater grison, and some we couldn't identify.
When we started this project this property was a favorite hunting ground of local poachers, but we kindly let them know that weren't open to them hunting the land anymore. Since then the animals have definitely noticed, and are more abundant and we even regularly see mothers with babies on the cameras.
